However they still slide significanly particularly on slopes and my wife bwho need crutches to walk is no safe with these than she was with ordinary ferrules

I purchased these ferrules for my NHS crutches which tended to slip when it was wet outdoors
Initially thought they were great but within the last few days I seem to become entangled with anything lying around.
I accept that's my problem but I caught the bus using them. As I was descending a woman came up the steps & neither of us realised her trouser leg was caught as the ferrules are raised at the end and not flat to the floor.
They're robust but whilst ever they become entangled I now don't trust them.
I think the design would be great if the ferrule ends didn't turn up

Having slipped in the past with other Ferrules especially on wet floor, I purchased these for my holiday as it's going to be wet and needed something more sturdy. Very comfortable to walk with, not heavy and made with quality rubber.
