I have been looking for this rubber wedge for ages and I've never found it for some reason, it popped up on my phone and I was quick to order it. Its a cracking rubber wedge and it's big so it'll do a good size gap for your ladder. I would recommend.

Good economical solution for stability on slopes, soft and hard surfaces

I use these on both flat and uneven surfaces. On flat surfaces I use a single mat under each foot and I believe this increases the friction on the ground and hence reduces the chance of slippage. However I quite often find that the surface I'm resting on isn't flat and I think that using the different mat combinations really helps to get a level, stable and safe surface to work on. In dry conditions the heavily-dimpled rubber seems to grip most surfaces, as well as your ladder!
